Boarding Services
Welcome to your cats home away from home! Our certified cat friendly practice offers existing clients various boarding options for your cats. Veterinarians certified as fear free are on site during the day and overnight staff are in the building all throughout the night to ensure that your cat(s) is resting comfortably and is well cared for. If your pet requires medication or medical attention, our experienced team members tend to your cats’ medical needs. And if your kitty loves his/her chin rubbed, be sure to tell us! We also offer specialized boarding for diabetic cats and dogs, as an additional service.
Our dedicated, cat loving techs can’t wait to share all their love with your cat! If you’re away on business or pleasure or under the weather yourself, you can rest assured knowing that your pet is being loved as if he/she was one of our own pets.
Existing clients may board their cats in Carnegie Cat Clinic as long as your pet is up to date on his/her vaccines (feline distemper, feline infectious respiratory disease complex/FVRCP and rabies). You kitty must also have a documented record of a negative fecal sample. If current pets/patients are not up-to-date, we can complete these vaccinations when your pet is admitted.
If you are not a current client with our hospital, your kitty will require an exam, with you present, PRIOR to boarding, to establish a patient/doctor/client relationship. This exam is required to ensure the safety and health of your pet and all boarders and patients under our care. Please call to schedule an exam prior to your pets boarding.
Carnegie Cat Clinic offers three styles of accommodations for your cat.
Cat Condos are available upon request. The condo gives your loved one extra space, a shelf to perch on and a removable panel to allow two related cats to move between two separate condos for double the space.
Our standard boarding option is comfy and spacious and offers a quiet atmosphere.
Geriatric boarding is for all cats 15 years of age and older. Our geriatric boarders cozy up in a comfortable secure space close to the technician station where they receive constant supervision, love and attention.
No matter which style you choose, you can be assured that your cat will get lots of TLC. Call anytime to schedule a tour of our boarding options.
Drop Off Veterinary Service: In order to accommodate your schedule, we offer a drop-off / pick-up service. Providing you have called and made arrangements with the hospital in advance, you may drop off your pet and pick him / her up at a later time.
After dropping off your pet, requested services are performed during the course of the day. You are welcome to call the veterinary hospital during office hours in order to discuss the progress of your pet's treatment. In the case of a sick or injured pet, the owner is called after the initial examination, and recommendations for treatment as well as estimates of costs are given. Veterinary services typically scheduled are vaccinations, lime dips, orthopedic consultations, pre-anesthetic workups, ultrasounds, radiographs, sick pet examinations, diabetic monitoring and many more.
