James Miele
Born in Trenton, New Jersey, Dr. James Miele attended Delaware Valley College and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Animal Science in 1977. Following his undergraduate studies, he attended Rutgers University and Ohio State University, where he received Master's degrees in Animal Science from Rutgers and in Pathology from Ohio State University. In 1982, Dr. Miele was accepted to Ohio State University's School of Veterinary Medicine and was awarded his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 1986.
Dr. Miele's areas of professional interests are in surgery, pain management, and TCVM (Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine). Dr. Miele is certified in Canine Rehabilitation and Acupuncture. He and his wife, Dr. Terry Miele, co-own the hospital, which they purchased in 1988.
Dr. Miele is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA), the American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA), the International Veterinary Academy of Pain Management and the American Association of Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine.
Dr. Miele and his wife have five children named Theresa, Elizabeth, Emily, Sam, and Greg. During his leisure time, Dr. Miele enjoys CrossFit training, reading non-fiction books, continual learning and helping his children.
