Dr. Polo completed her undergraduate education at Binghamton University. Prior to veterinary school, she worked as a veterinary assistant at Veterinary Internal Medicine and Allergy Specialists in New York City from 2004 to 2005. She also did clinical research in breast cancer at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center from 1999 to 2009.She went on to attend the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine, where she was awarded her Veterinariae Medicinae Doctoris degree.
Internal medicine and dermatology are among Dr. Polo's many professional interests. She is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association.
Dr. Polo shares her home with a cat named Simba. She enjoys hiking, biking, reading and spending time with friends and family when she's not at the hospital.
