Actually two hospitals in one, the Princeton Animal Hospital is housed in a 12,000 square-foot facility that it shares with the Carnegie Cat Clinic, which it merged with in May 2000. Staff and doctors flow freely between the two facilities that are separated only by the different doorways clients use to enter them. All diagnostic equipment and supplies are equally shared by both facilities and we are, as the saying goes, one big happy family.
As a team we are dedicated to fair, open-book management and a work environment that provides our staff an opportunity to feel uniquely good about the work they accomplish. We are big believers in continued education and try to provide all of our team members many opportunities to learn throughout the year with in-house CE occurring at least twice a month. CE outside of the hospital is part of every new associate's contract. More importantly, however, this CE is part of a culture of learning that exists and is constantly nourished in our facility. Our associates and our technical staff are selected specifically for their interest in bettering their own medical skills and for their desire to provide our patients with the very best in veterinary medicine.
We say that our team is important to us and we mean it. Each doctor works with 3 to 4 techs per shift, all of whom we spend weeks training using a structured in-house written program as well as the resources available to us out of house (Princeton Animal Hospital is part of Pfizer's prestigious Partnership for Success). In addition, our associates meet regularly to review our standard of care for the hospital and discuss cases and hospital policy. Rounds are completed daily.
Located in the picturesque meadowlands of southern New Jersey, we offer our associates tranquil, scenic living options without missing out on big city life like getaways to New York (1 hour by train that is stationed just down the street) or Philadelphia (30 minutes by car). Our famous NJ coastline is only a 45-minute drive away.
